View this Videotribute Radford VA. William Russell McFall age 81 passed away on April 28, 2008 at Wheatland Hills Retirement Center. He was a life long resident of Dickenson County, a member of Clintwood United Methodist Church, served as treasurer for 18 years. A 1944 graduate of Clintwood High School and graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1948. A member of Regimental Staff of the Corps of Cadets at VPI. Awarded bronze star medal. A veteran of the Korean War, while in Korea he served as First Lt., with the Ambulance Co of the 3rd Battalion, Third Infantry. He was preceded in death by his wife Maurine McFall, brother Thomas McFall, sister Mary Ann Leidig. He is survived by his children Elaine Griffin of Bristol VA, Jeannie Grant of Radford VA, John McFall Gainesville GA, Tim McFall of Jefferson City TN. 1 bother Jim McFall Maryland 1 sister Jackie Hartman Bay Shore New York. Grandchildren Katelyn McFall, Alex McFall, Christian McFall, Connor McFall, Evan McFall, Ethan McFall, Heth Grant. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Phillips, Harry Dean Childress, Ken Smith, Blake Fleming, Steve Fleming, John Blanton, Morris Skeen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronald (Bear) Fleming Clair Sykes and John Dotson. Family will receive friends Wednesday April 30, 2008 at 6:30 pm at Clintwood United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday May 1, 2008 at 1:00pm with John Price officiating. He will be laid to rest in Temple Hill Memorial Park Cemetery with VFW post 8979, DAV Chapter 35, American Legion Post 227. And Virginia National Guard Honors Team. In Lieu of flowers make donations to Clintwood United Methodist Church. Mullins funeral Home and Staff are servicing the McFall family.
