Lora Bell Phipps age 85 passed away Tuesday April 8, 2008 at her home. She was a life long resident of Dickenson County. She was of the Freewill Baptist faith and attended Georges Fork Freewill Baptist Church while her health allowed her to.

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter Vince Bryant and Hettie “Stanley” Bryant. Husband Teamous Phipps, 2 Brothers Elmer Bryant,Vince Bryant, half brother Paul Fleming,sister Nora McCoy, step daughters Dean Hughey, Mary Ryann, stepsons Avon Phipps, Kenneth Phipps, Ayers Phipps.

She is survived by her children: Denver Phipps Nicholasville KY

Randy Phipps Morristown TN.

Lois Ann Manis Jefferson City TN.

Lola Carol Cofflin Lynchburg VA

Kathy Stanley Clintwood VA.

Step daughters: Eunice Fleming, Madge High                                    

Eva Allen and Jean Taylor.

Sisters: Ruby Fleming Clintwood VA.

Bertha Mae Mullins Clintwood VA.

Brother: Toy Bryant Clintwood VA.                                

12 Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jason Perrigan, Blake Stanley, Ralph E. Stanley, Walter Bryant, Kendall Mullins, David Wych.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Dutton, Lewis Mullins, Greg Stanley, Johnny Farmer, Rick Mullins.

Family will receive friends Thursday April 10, 2008 at 7:00pm in the Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with Ken Childers singing.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday April 11, 2008 at 11:00am. With Lewis (Verdale) Mullins, Greg Stanley officiating.

She will be laid to rest in the Phipps Cemetery in Clintwood VA.
