View this Videotribute Enzel Mae Mullins age 84 of Long Ridge, Nora Virginia, passed away on Thursday March 27, 2008 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Clintwood, VA. Enzel was born May 2, 1923 to Lummie Belle Meade and Swanson Brooks. She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister Naomi Musick; two brothers, Jonas and Kenneth Brooks; and two daughters, Betsy Dorrine Mullins and Ruby McCoy. Enzel was a wonderful cook and a fantastic mandolin player. Music was an important part of her life and many days were spent playing and singing the mountain music she loved so dearly. She lovingly cared for her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren and will be missed by everyone. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Woodrow Mullins Nora VA. 1 daughter: Deborah Kathy Defriece and husband Jim of Ridgeway. 7 sons: Curtis (Christine) Mullins of Nora VA. Woodrow (Betty) Mullins Jr. Cedar Bluff, VA. John (Debbie)Mullins of Cedar Bluff, VA. Roger (Lola) Mullins of Cleveland, VA. Truman (Pam) Mullins Clintwood VA. Donald (Debbie) Mullins Clintwood VA. Mickey (Deanna) Mullins Castlewood VA. She is also survived by a sister Marie Evans and husband Sanford of St Paul VA. Two brothers, Calvin Brooks and wife Mildred of Clintwood VA, and James Brooks of Lebanon, VA. Woodrow and Enzel have 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and a special caregiver, Linda Rutherford. Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Grand sons in law. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wesley Mullins, Linda Rutherford. Family will receive friends Friday March 28, 2008 at 6:00pm followed with a song service at 7:00pm at the United Methodist Church in Clintwood VA. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday March 29, 2008 at 11:00am In the Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with Russell Baldwin officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Mullins Family Cemetery located on Long Ridge, Nora VA. Mullins funeral Home and Staff are servicing the Mullins family.
