View this Videotribute Darrel “Snook” Greene, age 76 of Coeburn Virginia passed away on Monday May 19, 2008. Darrell was a member of the Smith Ridge Baptist Church a UMWA Retiree he was also a veteran of the Korean War. Darrell is preceded in death by Parents Noah and Rilda Greene, Brother Bud Greene, and sisters Mary Lewis, Jane Stanley, and Barbie Rose Survived by Wife of 55 years Barbara Greene, Son Tony (Kathy) Greene, Coeburn, Virginia, Daughters Darlene (David) Greene, Coeburn Virginia, Rosemary (Darrel)Little Tuscumbia, Alabama, Betsy (Con) Little, McClure, Kay (Ernie) Winebarger, Coeburn Virginia, Lucy (Billy) Carty, Rural Retreat, Virginia, Becky Stout, Tuscumbia, Alabama Sisters Josie Rose, Coeburn, Nina Lee Smith, McClure, Virginia Brother Bill Greene, Coeburn, Virginia And 12 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday May 22, 2008 at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with clergyman Terry Rose and Billy Carty officiating. Burial will follow at the Brownlow Rose Cemetery, Coeburn, Virginia. Graveside services will be conducted by VFW Post 8979DAV chapter 235 American legion post 227 along with national guards honors team. Family will receive friends at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel Wed. May 21st at 6:00 pm on Wednesday May 21, 2008 with services conducted at 7:00 pm. Pallbearers Kevin Little, Jamie McConnell, Daniel Winebarger, Adam Winebarger, Johnathan Stout, Anthony Greene, Larry Odle, Jarrod Stanley. The family would like to extend their special thanks to Dr. Marco DaSilva and staff at Kingsport hematology and oncology, the third floor staff in the Wilcox Hall and Megan Grills in CICU at Holston Valley Medical Center and to all of those who gave unselfishly their time and heart to care for our loved one.
